Camille Merchandelli Park 까미박
1979년 프랑스에서 태어난 Camille Mercandelli-Park는 파리 근처 Ivry sur Seine에서 거주하며 작업하고 있다. 발랑스보자르 (Beaux-Arts de Valence)에 재학중 인간과 자연, 생명과 생물학적 데생에 매료되었다 DNAP(조형 예술학위)를 받고 파리 8대학교에서 시각 예술 석사 학위를 취득하며 본인의 예술적 과정을 발전 시켜갔다.
현재 그녀는 또한 소아 종양학과에서 시각 예술 교사로 제직하면서 창작활동을 이어가고 있다. 그녀는 한국을 여러 번 여행한 후 한국의자연과 동양화의 영향을 받아 드로잉, 도자기, 최근에는 옻칠작업으로 확대하여 작업한다.
살아있는 것들은 그안에 강인함과 연약함들이 동시에 존재한다. 까미는 그 양가성에 생기를 불어넣고 아름다움을 찾는 작업의 여정위에 있다. 그녀의 작업에는 '자연 속에 인간의 위치 (혹은 인간 속에 자연의 위치)', '현실과 상상의 공존'이라는 요소가 있다. 까미박 작가의 작업 속의 인물들은 이끼, 산호초와 같은 자연적 산물들에 의해 다른 존재가 되어간다. 마치 상상 속의 피사체들이 현실의 자연에 의해 시간의 흔적을 남기는 듯하다.
Camille Mercandelli-Park에게 회화 행위는 유기적 과정과 유사하며, 종이 표면은 회화의 새로운 변형을 반영하는 도구가 된다.
